Hello fellas! Today I wanna post something about.. cafe.. again lol. Actually, it's been a long time since I went to these cafe.. around march-april I think? So today, I'm gonna write something about it. But the first thing I wanna say before you read the review is... I am deeply sorry for the bad quality pictures hahaha. Okay.. now, let's get down to da review!
Tootoomoo Patisserie
The first place I went to is Tootoomoo, this place located in the center of Surabaya, near the Carpenter Kitchen. I was confused when I arrived in front of the cafe. I thought that the waze was error because it doesnt looked like a cafe. at all. I thought it was just a regular house but when we (me and my friend) asked the security guard, he told us that this is the right place.
The front door of the cafe is just an old regular door made from wood. So I was like krik krik krik, I asked my friend "are you sure you want to go inside?" idk but I felt so awkward at that time. But after we went to the inside of the cafe, the awkwardness gone.
We ordered meatballs carbonara, strawberry 'black' cake, green tea 'black' cake, and bubble gum ice. The prices around 30-50k.
The meatballs carbonara was good, but nothing special. But if you eat too much, you will sick of it / 'mblenek'.
The cakes were good but again, there were nothing special about it. By the way, the strawberry one is more delicious than the green tea one.The bubble gum ice.. tasted like an ordinary bubble gum drink, but it was tasty tho ;)
Overall, their foods, cakes, and drinks tasted good.. just good. Their interior design of the cafe is homey, almost like a home. There are lots of magazines that you can borrow and read in there.

Historica Coffee & Pastry
The second place I went to is Historica Coffee & Pastry, this place located in Sumatera Street.. and one of the cafe in Society Complex (one complex with 1903, poplar, and the new one is buro!) so this Society Complex is the one stop entertaiment complex in Surabaya with flavour of rich history, a semi fine dining restaurant, indoor & outdoor, lounge & bar, as well as 24 hours coffee shop in one compound.
Okay so the place itself is very beautiful, the design and the decoration are very cafe-ish. This cafe provide indoor and outdoor area, unfortunately this place is not a spacious one. You can guess from the name of the cafe itself 'Historica' means that the interior design of the cafe is vintage.
I ordered eggs benedict and taro latte, my friend ordered beef parmigiana (is that right?) and red velvet latte.

I was so full because of the earlier cake and meatballs carbonara from Tootoomoo but I keep on eating the egg benedicts and also the beef parmigiana (I ate half of the eggs benedict, and half of the beef parmigiana).. I was so mblenek I almost wanted to throw up at that time lol.
The taro latte was good, not too sweet, but honestly I like it to be more sweet lol (diabetes alert!). I dont really like the eggs benedict and the beef parmigiana. The only thing I love about it was the bread underneath the eggs. It was crunchy like a french toast. The beef parmigiana was too dry I think, a lil bit sweet and not chewy but my friend said that she like the beef parmigiana, it's based on everyone own preferences right?
The beef parmigiana and the eggs benedict are 55k, taro latte and red velvet latte are around 40-45k? (I forgot it, sorry)
I dont really like their foods, but I love their design, its so classy yet very comfortable (+ they have lots of beautiful plants).
